Berry Christmas Trifle

Ingredients:

  • 1 prepared pound cake or angel food cake, cut into cubes
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup fresh raspberries
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1 cup fresh blackberries
  • 2 cups vanilla pudding or custard
  • 2 cups whipped cream
  • 1/4 cup sliced almonds (optional)
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Ingredients:

    • Wash and prepare all the berries. Set aside a few whole berries for garnish.
    • If making homemade pudding or custard, prepare it according to your recipe and let it cool.
  2. Layer the Trifle:

    • In a large trifle dish or clear glass bowl, start by placing a layer of cake cubes at the bottom.
    • Add a layer of vanilla pudding or custard over the cake cubes, spreading it evenly.
